Concept/Character Development Final - 2 Paragraphs

The decisions I made in my design was to make Billy, the main character, look smart but not be be the type to wear lab coats and look like a scientist (like Dexter). He needed to at least look like a normal kid. So far no robots are built becuase he has just started. This would be the beginning of the series. However, the equipment is already there.

I gave him glasses, which automatically makes him look kind of smart. He is the kind of kid that, while being smart, also has some friends. He is not too involved in his research. The equipment, like the TV, he found at the junkyard as well as across his neigborhood. He takes all of it to his garage, which is where his lab is at.

Animating Dillon's Mouth & Eyes (Week 8 Assignment)

We also had to make different mouth and eyes expressions for the character in Flash.

Using Trace Bitmap (Week 8 Assignment)

This week, we had to use trace bitmap to go over 3 western pictures we found on the Internet, and make them look more "cartoonish".

The top picture is the one I used trace bitmap on, and the bottom picture is the original.

Comparing Color Schemes (Week 8 Assignment)

We also had to put different color schemes for the Western characters into one Flash file, to compare them. We were supposed to do only put 3 in there, but since I already had 4 different versions already, I just used all 4.

This is the next character from the list of Western Characters, Brent. He is the villain. I did a few sketches and put one of them into Flash.

Using Pen Tool on Apple (Week 7 Class Assignment)

We had to use the Pen tool in Flash on an Apple picture we found off Google. After, we had to fill it with a rainbow color.

I decided to create alternate colored costumes for Polly as well.

For Week 6, we had to put both Dillon and Polly into Flash (after drawing Polly in our sketchbooks first). But since I already did it for Dillon, I decided to make some alternate colors for his costume instead.

Creating Polly for the Western Character (Assignment Four, Week 6 Assignment)

For Week 6, we had to start creating Polly from the set of Western characters. So, I drew a few more pictures of her and chose one to put into Flash. I created a second picture without facial expressions because she look too short. So I drew it again to make her look a little bit taller.

This is the second picture I used for this assignment in Flash, of Lucky Luke and a bartender. The first picture is the Flash picture and the second picture is the original.

More Story Revealed for the Original 3 Characters (Week Four Assignment)

Basic Idea of Story:


The story behind these three characters is that they all meet each other in 10th grade. Adam ended up moving to a new house with his parents, which means he ended up going to a new school. On the first day, he met Jim and Sarah and becomes friends with them. The main parts of the story take place from 10th grade to 12th grade. Throughout their years in high school they make friends with other kids in school, but they also have had made a few enemies as well. Jessica, the cheerleader girl that played the joke on Sarah as the end of middle school, is one of them. As well as Eddie, who is Jessica’s boyfriend and the star player on the football team. One other one is Ben, who is another smart kid at the school who gets mad when Adam beats him at a science fair at school. He almost always won it or came close, so he sets out to ruin him. Over the three remaining years they have in high school, these “rivals” try to get them in trouble, pick on them, etc.


Within the first few months of 10th grade, Adam ends up meeting a fellow classmate Samantha, who he ends up falling in love with. But since he is shy, he has a hard time trying to talk to her sometimes and when he gets to, he can never really talk. By the end of 10th grade, he finally ends up telling her and they end up going out for the next couple of years. Throughout the few years they have in high school, Jim and Sarah start to fall in love with each other by the time they get into 11th grade. But they never really reveal it to each other until they get into the 12th grade.


Throughout their years in high school, the group ends up meeting a lot of people. Ranging from other students, teachers, Adam’s grandfather, the other family members of these three, and a “superhero”. By the end of 12th grade, Ben, Eddie, & Jessica work together to try and “take out” the group. After failing again, they become friends with them. Jessica apologizes for what she did to Sarah, as well as Ben saying he was sorry for trying to get back at Adam and wasting most of his high school life on it. After high school, all three of them end up going to college. Adam and Samantha end up getting married, as well as Jim and Sarah too.
